Modellers have used the planned but never-built main line which would have run west of Dorchester along the English Channel coast towards Exeter since the 1950s, when John Charman built his Mk.I version of Charford.Alec Fry fell under the spell, and began construction of an OO gauge system, presented here as an ingenious plan suitable for any railway location that appeals.
