The class 700 Shinkansen is a high speed multiunit used on Japans Superexpress network, this unit normally runs at a high speed of 170mph along the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines. origionally designed in 1997 the class entered service in 1999 and were built until 2006.

This Starter set shows off the shear elegance of Japanees railway travel consisting of a four car unit track and power controller.

The track in this set can be extended by adding pieces of track in theKato N Gauge Rangeor by using theKato Variation Track Packto form set layout designs.
